Lush!!
But not in a good way. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, given the amount of rain we've had (this Spring - so-called - is just Pants). This is the entrance; it's a bit "Secret Garden" at present!!

What is the collective noun for Lovage? A Rampart, as here.

I fear it's gone beyond sorting out with the strimmer and needs heavier tackle. Bring on the lawnmower; it's got a bigger engine!!

That first photo is so secret garden - I love it! So is your plot walled? I'd love a walled garden.
Hi Sue. No, it isn't walled but has the high hedge you can see there, behind which is an access road (much used by incontinent dogs; there's a row bubbling up from some plotholders about that. I'm keeping a low profile, but it is annoying.) On one side is a much lower hedge and on the other just a path I share with another plot. A walled garden would be lovely though, in those old, slightly crumbly bricks, with a brick potting shed and lashings of well-rotted manure. Ah, beginning to get into fairyland now!!
It's not that long ago that we were all bemoaning the lack of rain!!!!

Himself was on about building a walled vegetable garden in our garden ....sounded like a nice idea until I realised he meant a seven foot high wall right across the garden!!! Soon put a stop to that doppy plan! Apparently it was my fault ....I'd mentioned wanting an archway in a bit of crumbling old wall!
